UREC FIT: Fitness Track

UREC FIT courses cover the basics of group fitness instruction through lecture and practical applications of anatomy, kinesiology, exercise principles and guidelines, cueing techniques, choreography, and injury prevention. UREC FIT courses do not provide certification, but are great opportunities to begin gaining experience in group fitness instruction. For potential instructors with no previous experience, this training is required to work for UREC. After successfully completing the training and the subsequent shadowing process, participants can audition to teach Pilates classes at the SRC.

Depending on program needs, UREC FIT courses may cover some or all of the following teaching modalities: muscle conditioning, gravity, step, kickboxing, cardio circuit, boot camp, and others. ($52 - Includes workshops, mentoring program, & Fitness Passport Registration)

*Please note: completion of class is not a guarantee of employment.
