Fitness Swimming

Fitness Swimming is a great addition to your workout routine and can help you achieve your desired fitness goals.  This program is great for those that are looking to change up their workout routine, challenge themselves in a different environment, cross train, prepare for a triathlon or other competition, and more!

Each workout is tailored to strengths, weaknesses and general goals of the Fitness Swimming participants and can be further tailored to each participants goals. Fitness Swimming takes place in a group setting with an on-deck coach at the Student Recreation Center pool. 

There are no prerequisites, however, all Fitness Swimming participant’s should be able to swim a length of 25 yards using freestyle, breaststroke, and backstroke and be able to tread in deep water for at least one minute.

Fitness Swimming is a structured aquatic program, which is designed to challenge all participants no matter their swimming abilities. Fitness Swimming offers on-deck coaching, with workouts tailored to the group of swimmers participating. Each workout plan will be adapted to each individual swimmer, to help push, challenge and improve each participant’s personal goals. This program is perfect for those wanting to cross train, improve swimming techniques, master skills, training for triathlons and more! Prerequisite: There are no prerequisites, however, all Fitness Swimming participant’s should be able to swim a length of 25 yards using freestyle, breaststroke, and backstroke and be able to tread in deep water for at least 1 minute. Refund Policy: A full refund will be given within six days after the start of the class. A 50% refund will be given within seven to thirteen days after the start of the class. No refunds will be given after thirteen days after the start of the class. **Accessibility: Reasonable accommodations are available with adequate prior notification.
