[Sa] 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
$7 - $12

Are you getting comfortable top-roping, and want to learn a new skill that you can apply outside? Lead climbing is the method of climbing where you clip your rope into protection as you ascend, rather than being belayed through one anchor at the top of the climb (top roping). In this clinic we’ll teach you the skills needed to effectively lead climb and belay. The clinic will be instructional and have open time for students to practice skills they have been taught and skills they already know. Harness, shoes, and belay devices will all be provided. Program rating is level 3: Participants must have a belay qualification through the WSU SRC Climbing Wall, and have a strong base knowledge of roped climbing methods and systems. For those patrons who would like to take the qualification test without the clinic, we will provide you with that opportunity early in the clinic to make best use of your time. Cancellation Policy: With receipt or proof of purchase, full refunds are given until the registration deadline. 50% refunds are given until the day of prior to the class. Sorry, no refunds given on or after the day of the class.
