Washington State University CrossFit
Washington State University CrossFit is a national CrossFit affiliate. CrossFit is broad, general and inclusive fitness that seeks to prepare participants for any physical or unknown contingency. Classes are designed for those who are seeking to get fit, have a great time, or even compete in the sport of CrossFit. Our WODs (workout of the day) are scaled to your fitness level and appropriate for both beginners and the experienced CrossFitter.
To participate in CrossFit, you will need to be a Chinook member. You can find membership options here.
To participate in CrossFit, you have two options:
- Purchase the Washington State University CrossFit Pass. The Pass will allow you to attend an unlimited amount of CrossFit classes, including Open Gyms, CrossFit Weightlifting, Intro to CrossFit and WODAsana! All Intro to
- Register for an Intro to CrossFit course. These classes are eight weeks long and meet twice a week at a reduced cost from the Pass option. The days of the week depend on which section you register for, please see below for specific days and times. Intro to CrossFit classes are beginner focused are used as your "On Ramp" program into CrossFit. We offer Introduction classes in Smith 21, and the Down Under Recreation Center ,as well as a Women's Only section!
New for Spring 2017 Session 2!
Progress on the Chinook is quickly advancing! Session 2 is scheduled to begin on Monday March 6, although CrossFit will be in Smith 21 until the bottom floor is completed. We anticipate this to occur in late March. To compensate for this delay, all Chinook classes will be FREE to all Chinook members for Spring Session 2, including CrossFit. While we encourage you to register so we can easily update you on all the Washington State University CrossFit events, pre-registration will not be required and class space will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Please be prepared to fill out a liability waiver each class, if you attend without registering. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we will only allow a set number of participants for each class. Please arrive early to ensure a spot in the class of your choice. Coaches will begin checking in athletes 10 minutes before the start of class.
Additionally, we are offering a prorated Interim/Part-time/Graduate Student Chinook semester membership for Spring semester. Interim/Part-time/Graduate Student may purchase a membership for $60. Please visit our Membership website for more details. Chinook members may continue to utilize the SRC facility at no additional cost through April 1.
