Fitness and mental health are two fundamental aspects of our lives that we often overlook. Typically, these aspects can become challenging to focus on, considering commitments to your profession, family, and social life. That’s why I would love to help guide you on a path to living a healthy, balanced lifestyle that incorporates mental and physical health. I will help guide you, giving you everything I have on my end to set you up for success; however, it is up to you to utilize them in your personal life.

With my experience training Division 1 teams, the elderly population, just under two years of personal training experience, and four knee surgeries, I believe there is no client that I am not capable of helping. Exercise is for everyone. With my experience, I can guide you to reaching your physical exercise goals. However, the engine can't run without willpower. I will be there with you throughout the journey of understanding what must be sacrificed within the moment to get to where you want to be. However, it is your job to do the work!

I am a personal trainer because I enjoy helping others reach their goals. When I began my fitness journey, I would get anxious about the unknown within training. I want to help YOU get to where you want to be, knowing that each step is a step in the right direction.

My approach to training is one based on holistic health principles with longevity minded programing and an initial emphasis on restoring the body’s natural movement. My ultimate goal is to help clients establish a well rounded fitness foundation based on not only physical capability, but knowledge and confidence within a gym setting. I am especially passionate about the psychological aspect of training and helping my clients find fitness options they enjoy to promote lasting behavioral changes. The first time I ever touched a barbell was in my high school weight training class. I was 16 years old, and I subsisted on a diet of whatever was in the pantry at the time. I can remember those times like it was yesterday, easily hitting new PRs and not thinking too much. The honeymoon phase. 16-year-old me had no idea what he was in for, and how much good this pursuit would do him. Little did he know that he’d have to learn how to cook, how to manage his time, how to get a good night’s sleep, how to budget his money, how to stop making excuses, how to truly push his limits, and not give up when things get crushingly difficult. We don’t control most anything in this world, just the speaking of words that leave our mouths and the stepping of one foot in front of the other.

Pain is inevitable, and no person is better at inflicting it than life itself. What matters is whether you accept that pain or not. Because the funny thing is, if you embrace it, you save yourself from a lot more suffering in the long run. And isn’t that a beautiful thing?

My competitive nature has always been a huge aspect of my life. Whether I’m working at Baskin Robbins or personal training, I want to be great at what I do. Starting Karate at a young age, I learned the art of discipline, and I carried that mindset to wrestling and eventually to football, where I played for 9 years and learned to support and motivate my teammates around me. The atmosphere in the weight room during summer weights with my teammates is something I’ll never forget, and that alone solidified my love for weightlifting. I was infatuated with not only the idea of lifting and hitting new personal records but witnessing the people around me do the same with the help of me motivating them. After realizing I played my last snap of football in high school, I wanted to stay within the scope of athletics and weight training, but the path to get where I am right now was, to the say the least, not what I intended. COVID-19 had a huge negative impact on my life. I started off as a psychology major and had no idea what I wanted to do with my future. Starting my freshman year of college at home in Yakima via online courses led to me battling academic probation and almost being forced to drop out of college. Believe me when I say I know how it feels to hit rock bottom and have no hope in life, which is why I want nothing more than to help everyone dig their way out of a mental hole and become the best version of themselves through the concept of fitness.

It is hard to start your fitness journey. It is equally as hard to stay stagnant where you are. It is the ultimate choice of being the better version of yourself or staying the same. We only get older, and our bodies will only deteriorate. So technically we get worse over time… unless we do something about it.

I remember my first steps in my fitness journey felt like huge steps that I would never overcome, Plateaus that I could never break, the weight that I can never lose, and the amount of frustration that I felt being on my own with no one to turn to (except for Google).

I have been through so much trial and error in my 7 years of fitness that I never want anyone to be misinformed, misled, or taken advantage of. I have been a victim of all those things, which is why I do not want others to suffer the same fate. I want to be someone reliable that you can trust, to come to for information regarding fitness. I want to be someone that you can count on to apply that information and individualize it to your goals and needs.

I am a 21-year-old student studying kinesiology and strength and conditioning at WSU. I have a passion for fitness and health. As a former athlete, overlooked and undersized, I see the potential in everyone to be the best version of themselves. Just like everything in life, nothing worth having is easy. If you are ready to overcome challenges and conquer your goals, I will be with you every step of the way. Let’s get better together.

My reason for personal training is the pursuit of holistic wellness. Holistic wellness means that I will train you to achieve excellence in your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Too many trainers simply focus on the physical aspect of a client without focusing on their holistic needs. The days of brainlessly lifting big weights are over. Instead, I will show you a level of fitness that improves your everyday life through research-based exercise, nutrition, and recovery.

The most important thing to remember is that your wellness is my passion, and a person’s wellness is comprised of healthy habits. Physical fitness breeds healthy habits that last a lifetime. Why not start right now?

My weightlifting journey started when I was a junior in high school and was afforded the opportunity to work with a personal trainer. From this, I learned the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle from lifting weights or just exercising on a regular basis. After high school, I went on to play two years of junior college baseball at Everett Community College and Skagit Valley College. During my time at both schools, I got to work with multiple personal trainers and experienced the brotherhood of pushing each other in the weight room. I continue athletically with improving in pickleball and competing in tournaments and playing golf in my off time.

Originally, I started as a business major but switched to kinesiology after deciding it was more in line with what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I’ve worked in chiropractic and physical therapy clinics to help better my knowledge of how to help those get back to where they want to be. I consider myself a specialist in return to play, athletic performance, and pain free daily living. You shouldn’t go through life always being in pain. Let me help you get back to living pain free!

I grew up playing basketball and running track. In my experience in track I was able to learn how to weightlift and that is where I fell in love with the weight room. Throughout my sports career I came to understand the importance of fitness and love the science behind it. I learned so much about ways to use the skills and improvements in the weight room and apply it to my performance in athletics. Throughout this valuable experience, I gained the valuable skill of pacing myself.

I most enjoy helping clients fall in love with the fitness process and teaching the “why’s” of exercise. Being able to get other people excited to be active is something I have greatly fallen in love with and will always be my favorite thing about being in the field of exercise and health. Being afraid to go to the weight room and try new things is something I’m very familiar with and I use this as a strength when working with my clients. Additionally, I love getting clients to build their self-confidence and love who they are. I want them to learn that I am here for them and to help them build that confidence and love and ability for physical activity.

I first fell in love with training people in my junior year of high school. My head strength and conditioning coach at the time would often leave me in charge of looking after my fellow peers' workout plans and making sure they understand the exercises and finish all workouts assigned. When I would look at the workouts my coach designed for them, I was so intrigued by the precision for every athlete and reasoning why he targeted every muscle he did. After high school I began dwelling more and more into fitness until I decided to become a personal trainer and share my love for fitness with other people.

I especially have loved coaching younger athletes as well as high school athletes in the Tri-Cities area, which has help me grow as a trainer to meet a wider spectrum of clients and not just stay in a certain age group. My main goal as a personal trainer is to break barriers with my clients and help them achieve triumphs, which they never thought possible. Let me help you become the best version of yourself inside and outside of the gym.

My relationship with fitness has evolved greatly throughout my life. I have participated in organized sports since I could walk, but when I first began resistance training at 16, I fell in love with the challenge that the gym offered me. Since then, however, I have been able to discover how exercise best fits into my life and how to tailor it to my needs to live a healthy and balanced life.

No two people are exactly the same, and I want to help you reach your goals based on your individual needs. I am here to offer knowledge, experience, and motivation to create fitness habits to help you foster good physical health, which in turn will support your mental and emotional wellbeing. Our bodies were made to move, so join me on the path to improve your physical fitness!

As a woman, I understand how difficult it can be to feel comfortable in the weight room, as well as how challenging it can be to appreciate our bodies and all they do for us. My overarching goal as a trainer is to help women develop a healthy appreciation for our bodies and to decrease the feelings of negativity that are constantly enforced by society. I want to help you feel good about yourself by thinking less about anthropometric values, such as the number on the scale, and instead help you learn to love exercise for its benefits in overall health.

Since childhood, my boundless energy and enthusiasm for movement led me naturally towards a love for sports. I grew up channeling my vigor into soccer, basketball, and football, despite being a late-blooming cross-country runner with no initial grasp on building muscle. Motivated by a desire for personal growth, I embraced weight training in my junior year of high school, overcoming challenges like exercise-induced asthma and possible heart issues along the way. My relentless dedication to my fitness journey fuels my excitement to support your goals with the same passion!

As a WSU student, I am humbled to receive the experience and opportunities that I have already come across in my short career. One that I will always be thankful for, and that I learned the most from was during my time in Bohler gym as a Strength and Conditioning Intern here at WSU. I was blessed to work with so many amazing coaches and athletes from multiple sports and was able to directly apply my kinesiology (exercise science) knowledge towards the weightroom. We had a great year, and I’m confident that I’m set up perfectly to lead others to achieving any health and fitness goal they have, including athletes in the future. I also volunteered at the 2023 NSCA Washington State Clinic to learn more about the strength world.

To conclude, as an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer, I am proud to say that I prepare to do what I love every day. That is helping others achieve their lifelong goals through proper exercise and nutrition. With the massive impact social media has made on the fitness movement in society, it has never been easier to step foot into a gym to begin achieving your goals. Yet, it has also never been harder to do it the right way, when considering the large presence of false information spread around the world nowadays. Why not start the correct way today, with your own personal trainer to guide you every step of the way?
