Week of Welcome

During WSU's Week of Welcome, University Recreation offered lots of opportunities to find your playground!  From free fitness classes to low cost trips for first year students, we have something for everyone. Check out our events below.

 

First Tracks Outdoor Orientation Program

Explore the Pacific Northwest, bond with future classmates, develop skills with experienced leaders, and take on an exciting new adventure before embarking on the biggest adventure of all—college.

Choose between Backpacking or Kayaking.

Two sessions: July 18-22 or August 9-13

Adventure of a lifetime, for only $275

Backyard BBQ: Sunday, August 19; 11:00 AM-2:00 PM

Join University Recreation on Sunday, August 19 in welcoming the new school year.  This event is FREE and open to everyone. The Backyard is located directly behind the Student Recreation Center. Parking will be available at the SRC and Beasley Coliseum.  Please wear athletic type closed toe shoes if you want to participate in activities.
