The American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer Prep Course

This course is designed to give students the knowledge and understanding necessary to prepare for the ACE Personal Trainer Certification Exam and become effective personal trainers. This course presents the ACE Integrated Fitness Training^TM (ACE IFT^TM) Model as a comprehensive system for designing individualized programs based on each client's unique health, fitness, and goals. The information covered by this course and the ACE IFT Model will help students learn how to facilitate rapport, adherence, self-efficacy and behavior change in clients, as well as design programs that help clients to improve posture, movement, flexibility, balance, core function, cardiorespiratory fitness, and muscular endurance and strength.

Registration for Spring 2012 is now open. This course takes place in the SRC Classroom on Tuesday's & Thursday's from 4:00-6:00pm, beginning Tuesday, January 24th. You are able to register at the SRC or try registering online by clicking below on the ACE Prep Personal Training Course offering.

The American Council on Exercise (ACE) Group Fitness Instructor Prep Course is designed to prepare fitness professionals to work in group settings, addressing the core competencies you need regardless of the classes you teach. Topics range from exercise physiology, anatomy, kinesiology and health screening to adherence, injury prevention, professional responsibilities, special populations and more. Participants will leave this course prepared to sit for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) Group Fitness Instructor Certification Exam.
