UREC student staff are encouraged to expand their skills, job knowledge, and certifications though professional development workshops, trainings, and conferences.  Beginning spring semester of 2004, the Student Development Committee has been administering a Student Grant Program that has been awarded to over 50 students with awards totaling $15,000 to date. Nearly 30 unique certifications, trainings, or conferences have been attended by UREC student staff.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a full time student at WSU and a UREC employee

  • The application form must be completed and submitted electronically

  • Priority is given to those applications submitted by the end of the third week of the semester.

  • Must have two semester remaining to be eligible for 80% grant award.

  • Once awarded, you must sign a grant agreement form which outlines your obligation for completing your grant requirements by a specific deadline. Failure to do so will result in your student account being charged the awarded funds.
