  1. We use natural light whenever possible to minimize our daily energy consumption.
  2. We purchase and use environmentally friendly cleaning products such as detergents, soaps and cleaning solutions to minimize pollution of our water sources.
  3. You will find environmentally friendly paper products such as paper towels and bath tissues in our bathrooms, reducing the need for virgin wood pulp.
  4. Our office staff power down office equipment during long absences to decrease energy consumption.
  5. We urge patrons to recycle by placing signage on our recycling bins and stickers on plastic bottles purchased from our vending machines.
  6. Beginning Spring 09, our Play magazine will be posted on the website and Intramural Sports will offer on-line registration, decreasing paper consumption.
  7. Native plants, which require less water, and pesticides are utilized for landscaping.
  8. Our staff uses Green Bikes during the warmer months to run errands and attend meetings instead of driving around campus.
  9. We incorporate sustainability education in training for our student staff, encouraging and promoting practices that will support our sustainability initiatives.
