Proper Steps:

Begin sitting perpendicular to a bench, with your toes, knees, and hips in line and your shoulder blades on the bench
Brace your core, and lock your low back by pulling your belly button to your spine and tucking your rib-cage downward
Raise your hips to the ceiling until your body is parallel to the floor by contracting your glutes, holding for a second before returning to the starting position with control
