Proper Steps:

Begin in a Bent over stance (see any Romanian Deadlift/RDL)  with a dumbbell in hand hanging between your feet
Brace your core to maintain a neutral spine, by pulling your belly button to your spine
In one smooth motion, retract your shoulder blade and pull your elbow upwards and inwards towards your spine
Hold for a couple seconds before controlling the weight as you return it to the starting position
Repeat on both sides for desired repetitions
