Proper Steps:

With both hands on pull up bars, place your knee or stack your feet in a resistance band secured to the pull up bar
begin movement by squeezing shoulder blades down and together
pull your elbows into your back pockets and bring your chest to the bar
Control descent into starting position - aim to move in a straight line below the bar, rather than backwards and up/down
Caution: make sure you're locked into the band securely so that it does not snap back up at you
