Proper Steps:

Sit on a physio ball with a cable or resistance band set at elbow height 
Grip the handle with your row arm, palm facing downward, ensuring that there is tension on the cables/bands when your arms are fully extended 
Row the resistance by pulling your elbow behind you, rotating your wrist so that your palm faces inward and contacts your rib-cage 
Control the resistance as you return to the starting position
