Proper Steps:

Begin in a high-plank position with your hands gripping DB’s set beneath and slightly wider than your shoulders 
Brace your core by drawing your belly button to your spine, and maintain a straight line from your heels to the crown of your head 
Perform a push up, followed by a single arm DB row, alternating after each push up
