Proper Steps:

Assume the stance you would for performing your highest jump, and wield a DB in each hand at shoulder height
Dip as if you are going to jump, and explosively launch the weights up off your shoulders
Catch the weight Overhead in a split stance, absorbing the landing with soft bent knees
Return to your original stance before lowering the weight back down to your shoulders with control
