Proper Steps:

Find your natural squat stance, with your feet slightly wider than hip width and toes angled outward
With a braced core, pack the bar tight against your traps by pulling it down with your hands, elbows taut to the body and wrists straight
Initiate the movement by sliding your hips back, and sit between your heels with control
Ensure that your knees track over your toes when you squat, and your spine is parallel to your shins
Drive through your heels and stand up
