Proper Steps:

Begin in a strong 6-pt quadruped position with your wrists stacked under your elbows and shoulders, knees under hips, and toes under ankles 
Slowly shift into 'cat' by tucking your tailbone under your hips, and pressing your belly button and vertebrae toward the ceiling
Shift into 'cow' by tilting your pelvis forward, and pressing your belly button towards the floor
Sync your inhale with the cow stretch, and exhale with the cat stretch
