Proper Steps:

Begin by sitting down into a deep squat with strong upright posture 
Grab your toes, and perform a ‘hip up’ by straightening your legs, without bending your spine 
With your trail leg, step up and over your lead leg, and pivot 180 degrees 
Repeat the sequence on the other side, alternating back and forth for the desired amount of reps or distance
