Exercise: Lateral Skips with Cross Over

Proper Steps:

First learn 'Lateral Skips'
With your head and torso fixed forward, dissociate your lower body by pointing the knee of your trail leg in the direction you are traveling during its ‘high knee phase’ 
Plant your trail leg ahead of your lead leg, and reset your posture as you ‘skip’ on your rear leg 
Perform a regular ‘lateral skip’ on your lead leg 
Arm swing “cheek to cheek” 
Minimize upward bounce of the torso and hips 
Perform as many skips as can be done with proper form
