Proper Steps:

Begin standing tall with strong posture
Irradiate tension throughout your body by bracing your core, corkscrewing your feet into the floor, squeezing your glutes
Create circles with you shoulder blades by shrugging your shoulders up, rolling them forwards or backwards, and then pressing them as far down as you can
Make sure to maintain a neutral neck and spine throughout
Create circles slowly with control, in both directions as desired or prescribed
