Indoor facilities at University Recreation include the Student Recreation Center (SRC), Aquatic Facilities, and the Stephenson Fitness Center (SFC), as well as multi-activity spaces in the Shared Facilities which include Smith Gym, Physical Education Building (PEB), Bohler Gym, and Hollingbery Fieldhouse. Recreational equipment is available at the SRC, for a list of equipment please visit our Equipment Rental & Check-Out page.
University Recreation utilizes the Indoor Shared Facilities as multi-activity areas with access to basketball courts, racquetball/squash courts, mat rooms, and indoor tennis courts. If you are an SRC, Chinook, or Faculty and Staff Fitness Program member, you can make a reservation to play indoor tennis in the Hollingbery Fieldhouse. Other multi-activity areas of the Shared Facilities are currently closed for fall 2020. Looking for a map to these various facilities? SRC Pool and Spa (Spa is Currently Unavailable)
The SRC Pool and Spa includes a five-lane, 25-yard pool with an attached leisure area designed for water basketball, and water volleyball. The spa has a recirculating waterfall and can accommodate up to 53 people. The terrace and sun deck are currently closed. Reservations are currently required. Make a reservation for the SRC Lap Pool or Leisure Pool today!
Gibb Pool (Currently Unavailable)
Gibb Pool, built in 1969, is located on the lower level of the Physical Education Building (PEB). It is an eight-lane, 25-yard L-shaped pool with a 14-foot deep area. Gibb pool is WSU's main competitive pool and is home to the WSU Women's Swim Team, Lifeguard Training, UREC Sports Clubs and various academic classes.
Smith Pool (Currently Unavailable)
Located in Smith Gym, Smith Pool first opened in 1936. This four-lane, 25-yard pool is kept at 85 degrees and is host to many different aquatic classes such as Fitness Swimming, Swim Lessons, ORC Kayaking Courses, and the Women Only Swim Program.
