Fitness

We commit to empowering our students and community members to succeed through equitable support and engaging programming. We foster an inclusive climate that enables all to thrive.

 

We welcome everyone to participate in our group fitness classes. Our program provides diverse opportunities to the WSU community through over 180 classes per week in 45 unique formats. We train our instructors to ensure equitable, positive experiences that fit various exercise needs and incorporate all fitness levels and experiences.

 

Accessibility: University Recreation values providing programs and activities that are accessible. Upon completion, show screen to the staff at the front desk. If results show a red screen, you will not be allowed into the building. Please wear a face covering (cloth face covering is adequate) while in the building in accordance with Governor Inslee's mandate beginning on June 26 for the state of Washington. Face coverings may be removed once in the fitness classroom and 6ft physical distance can be maintained. You will need to check in with the staff member for entry into the building. Doors and gates will be designated as Entry and Exit All patrons will wash their hands or use facility provided hand sanitizer upon entrance to the facility and prior to entering the training floor or fitness room. High risk clients are not permitted as part of Phase 2 re-opening. Once in Facility: Locker rooms will be closed, designated rest rooms will be open (single occupancy and gender inclusive that offers private stalls) Stairs will be divided in half with one side as “up” and the other as “down” Space for each participant with activity areas will be assigned and equipment for activity provided Towel service will be discontinued. Participants are encouraged to bring their own towels. Water fountains will be turned off. Water bottle filling stations will be available. Please sanitize equipment immediately after each use. Sanitation spray or wipes will be dispersed throughout the training floor. **Refund Policy: Full refund within 6 days following the first class; 50% refund within 13 days following the first class.
