University Recreation remains a space for all members of our Coug Community to engage in an active healthy lifestyle and we are committed to maintaining this environment. As a result, we will no longer be a CrossFit affiliate.

CougStrong

Based on the principles of mechanics, consistency, and intensity, CougStrong involves constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensities. We will work to set a solid foundation, increase knowledge of fundamental exercises, and improve work capacity, strength, and endurance. As a broad, general, and inclusive fitness format for all fitness levels and experiences, CougStrong workouts at UREC consider any physical or unknown contingency.

Whether you are new to fitness or have been a regular patron, CougStrong is for everyone! We scale our WODs (Workouts Of the Day) for both beginners and experienced individuals and guide all patrons toward fitness and fun!

Fall 2020 Session 2: Registration Now Open!

All classes will run as scheduled on Veterans Day, November 11, but there will be no classes during Thanksgiving Break from November 23-29. Registration is required; schedule subject to change.

In-person fitness classes are available to students and members at reduced prices, October 19-November 22! 

Registration for in-person classes is open until October 30 here. Class times and capacity reflect physical distancing guidelines. We are unable to accept punch passes at this time. Schedule and registration for Session 3 (November 30-December 13) will become available on November 9.

Online classes are FREE for students, members, and non-members, October 19-December 13!

Registration for Session 2 & 3 online classes will be open until December 13 here. Zoom links will be emailed directly upon registration. Registration for online classes for Session 2 (October 19-November 22) and Session 3 (November 30-December 13) will be combined: If you register for online classes for Session 2, you do not need to register again for Session 3.

A few online classes will only run for Session 2 (indicated at registration). Registration for in-person classes will remain separate and required for Session 3.
