Description

This event is a collaboration between the ORC & the WSU LGBTQ+ Center, all bodies and skill levels will be welcomed and celebrated. Located only 30 minutes from WSU’s campus, the Snake River is perhaps one of the most well-known and scenic rivers in the entire United States. Come enjoy this beautiful river with a group of friends in a scenic location! Participants will have the opportunity to explore the river from their own stand up paddle board. Whether you are an experienced paddle boarder or you have never been on a paddle board before, this trip will be a great experience! This is one of our most popular and well-liked trips- so register early! Trip rating is level 1. No experience is necessary. Trip cost includes; paddle board rental, transportation, and an Adventure Facilitator (food is NOT included so bring a snack and some water). This trip runs rain or shine. Have all of your personal equipment (life jacket, wet-suit, booties, etc.) reserved via the rental center no later than 7pm the day prior to the trip departure. The rental center can be contacted by phone at 509-335-1892 to set up your appointment time. Cancellation Policy: In order to minimize our environmental impact, maintain facilitator-to-participant ratios, meet permit criteria, and transportation logistics, ORC trips are often programmed for small groups (typically up to 6 participants with 2 facilitators). Late cancellations can seriously impact our ability to accommodate others and recover costs. • Cancellations made up until 4 weeks prior to the registration deadline will receive a full refund. • Cancellations made within 4 weeks of the registration deadline receive 50% refund. • Sorry, no refunds are given past the registration deadline. If you need to cancel, please email orc@wsu.edu. Participants may not be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs during an ORC activity. Drugs and alcohol are not permitted in WSU vehicles/vessels or at campsites (or other accommodations) at any time. Depending on the severity of infraction of rules and policies, a range of disciplinary actions may take place from a verbal warning to removal from activity, contacting local authorities, and the office of student conduct. The Outdoor Recreation Center programs have a minimum participation required for each trip. If the trip or clinic does not have enough participants or faces hazardous weather conditions, the program may be cancelled or subject to change at the discretion of the ORC Coordinator. Community members must be vaccinated for Covid-19 to participate.
