11/30 Slow Your Roll: Stress Management

Ongoing, elevated stress levels can affect you in many negative ways. With this workshop you will learn practical relaxation techniques to reduce your stress, increase your awareness when your stress levels rise.
Participants will discuss how ongoing high stress can negatively affect your body, learn simple stress management techniques to help you break up the stressful times of your day, learn various relaxation and meditation techniques you can implement anywhere in your day, and will have the opportunity to discuss how meditation can improve the body and mind. After a lecture and discussion, participants will have the opportunity to practice progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, and stretching exercises.
Handouts include: Step by step guide on how to meditate and various relaxation techniques.

Prerequisite

Please bring your WSU ID card to sign-in for this program.
No special clothing or equipment is needed for this workshop. Any demos or activities can be tailored to participants needs. Registration is not required for attendance in this workshop. Day of registration in this program is accepted; please encourage friends or co-workers to attend!
