8/13/2012 Week of Welcome Day Hike

Description: Enjoy quality time with other WSU students and the ORC while in the great outdoors! This trip takes participants to Kamiak Butte, recognized as a National Natural Landmark with over five miles of forested hiking trails. The 3.5 mile Pine Ridge Trail, part of the National Trails System, reaches an elevation of 3,641 feet (second highest point in Whitman County) and offers visitors a panoramic view of the Palouse. Keep your eyes open as the park hosts over 150 bird, mammal and plant species. The trip rating is level 1.

Cancelation Policy:
In order to minimize our environmental impact, maintain facilitator-to-participant ratios, meet permit criteria, and transportation logistics, ORC trips are often programmed for small groups (typically up to 6 participants with 2 facilitators). Late cancellations can seriously impact our ability to accommodate others and recover costs.
• Cancellations made up until 2 weeks prior to the registration deadline will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 2 weeks prior to the registration deadline receive 50% refund.
• Sorry, no refunds are given past the registration deadline.
