Tea & Spa

Treat your mom and yourself to a delightful English tea and spa experience. Appointments are 1 hour long and consist of a 30 min massage including neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and hand soak followed by 30 minutes for tea, dessert, and peaceful conversation time for mother and student. Appointments available Friday 4/6, Saturday 4/7, and Sunday 4/8. Register online.

Kayak Tours

Enjoy quality time with your mom in the great outdoors! Snake River, located only 30 minutes from WSU’s campus, is perhaps one of the most well-known and scenic rivers in the entire United States. Come enjoy everything this river has to offer while you explore the river in your own sea kayak. This trip runs rain or shine. Trip rating is a level 1, no experience necessary. Trip cost includes; kayak rental, transportation, and trip facilitators. Food and personal clothing is NOT provided on this trip. Register now for the kayak tour on Sunday April, 8 from 9AM to 4PM.

Open Climb

SRC Climbing Wall

Grab your Mom for a morning of Rock Climbing where our climbing wall supervisors will help you climb to the top! One registration equals entry into course for one person. Trip rating is a level 1. No experience necessary! Register for one of our two sessions on Sunday April 8, 2018, either from 10-12PM or 12-2PM.

Group Bike Ride to Moscow

ORC

Take Mom on this b-e-a-utiful bicycle ride across 10 miles of the Palouse on the Bill Chipman Trail to neighboring Moscow, Idaho on Sunday, April 7 from 4-7PM. You’ll leave the Outdoor Recreation Center and head across the state line where you’ll have the opportunity to explore downtown shops, cafes, and restaurants. You can bring your own bike or you can rent one of our bikes from the rental shop.

SRC Backyard Challenge Course

Want an opportunity for you and your Mom to work together in groups and explore your limits on the high course? This unique challenge will be the ultimate bonding experience for you and Mom to talk about for years to come. Come out on Sunday, April 8 to try out the course! We have three courses from 10-12PM, 12:30-2:30PM, and 3-5PM. 

Free Classes all Weekend – If you are registered for any regularly scheduled fitness class, you can bring your mom for free (space is limited).  Non-members of the SRC or Chinook will need to purchase a special event weekend pass or a guest pass upon entering the SRC or Chinook. The free class schedule will be coming out soon!

Student Recreation Center & Chinook Access: Moms can access the SRC or Chinook with their WSU Student for free during Mom’s Weekend.  If you are sneaking away while your WSU Student is in class, purchase a $10 Special Event Weekend Pass for access to the SRC or Chinook for Thursday-Sunday. If you’re only visiting for one day during your visit, you may purchase a single day pass for $8.

Participants can expect a variety of fun group games and initiatives led by our trained facilitators, as well as an opportunity to climb around on one of our high elements.
