What is Movember?


Movember is a charity that tackles men’s health on a global scale, year round. Movember addresses some of the biggest health issues faced by men; prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. The goal of Movember is to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.


Join UREC and Health & Wellness Services as we support the Movember movement! The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow mustaches during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs.

Dad's Bench Best! Dad's Weekend Bench Press Competition

[F] 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Time to bring dad to the gym and participate in a friendly bench press competition. Will you be able to surpass your legendary dad, or do dad's bench best!? You will be paired up with your dad in this bench press competition to form the ultimate bench pressing team! Each participant will have 3 attempts to find a one rep max bench press. We will then compute your score using the Wilks powerlifting equation. Both team members scores will be added together to determine the champion. When registering, only 1 team member will need to register. This event is part of our Movember event series.
