Mindfulness & Meditation Sessions

We invite everyone to drop in and take some time to practice mindfulness techniques and meditation, which research has shown can help reduce stress and increase happiness and wellbeing! In a guided session that includes a question-and-answer portion at the end, we create a welcoming, supportive environment for people to explore, reflect, and breathe. No prior experience necessary. A limited number of mats and chairs are available; feel free to bring personal mats.

Open Climb Time

Monday to Friday, 5:00-6:00 PM

We will offer the opportunity for those who are not belay-qualified to use auto belays and try our Climbing Wall at the SRC. No experience necessary. Please be sure to check out equipment at the service desk before climbing.

 

FREE Fitness Classes

Monday to Friday, Various times at all UREC locations

Current research strongly supports that physical activity increases our ability to learn and retain information, reduces stress, and improves health. Try new classes, bring friends, and have fun! The schedule is listed below. If you enjoy these fitness classes, remember to register for classes in the summer or next fall. 

NOTE: A membership or a day/guest pass is required to participate in these classes. A Fitness punch card does not provide access to the SRC or Chinook for non-members. Chinook Student Center Study Hours

Looking for a place to study? Whether it is with a group or by yourself, the Chinook Student Center offers a variety of spaces to meet your study needs! Starting April 22, Chinook will be open from 5:30 AM to 2:00 AM each day.

 

Compton Union Building (CUB) Hours

Wednesday, April 24 to Thursday, May 2, 12:00 AM-12:00 AM

Another great place to study and gather on campus is the Compton Union Building (CUB)! Starting April 24, the CUB will be open for 24 hours. Enjoy free coffee and cookies from 10:00 PM-6:00 AM, provided by CUB, ASWSU, and GPSA.
