Add some adventure to your day - try the climbing wall! Located in Court 7 of the SRC, the wall is geared toward both the first time climber and the seasoned veteran. We have open bouldering during SRC hours of operation, as well as top rope climbing during open climbing hours. Come in soon to climb your way to the top!

Lake Coeur d'Alene Bike and Camp

Spend 2 days biking alongside Lake Coeur d’Alene where you’ll learn bike touring fundamentals and basic camping skills. The Trail of the Coeur d'Alene follows the Union Pacific Railroad traversing along the lake reaching the Montana border. Each day you’ll travel an average of 35 miles. Worried about carrying gear? We’ll haul the equipment for you in our support vehicle, giving you an opportunity to fully take in the ride and scenery. Trip Rating is level 2. This trip is designed for all levels of cyclists, but you must be able to ride a bicycle with little effort. Trip costs includes equipment, transportation, permits, Adventure Facilitator and bicycle and helmet if needed (Food is NOT included). The mandatory pre-trip meeting will take place June 18th from 6:00-9:00pm at the Outdoor Recreation Center. Cancellation Policy: In order to minimize our environmental impact, maintain facilitator-to-participant ratios, meet permit criteria, and transportation logistics, ORC trips are often programmed for small groups (typically up to 6 participants with 2 facilitators). Late cancellations can seriously impact our ability to accommodate others and recover costs. • Cancellations made up until 2 weeks prior to the registration deadline will receive a full refund. • Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the registration deadline receive 50% refund. • Sorry, no refunds are given past the registration deadline. Participants may not be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs during an ORC activity. Drugs and alcohol are not permitted in WSU vehicles/vessels or at campsites (or other accommodations) at any time. DIY Bike Full Series

If you are interested in delving deeper into bicycle repair, this program is for you. This 5 week course will cover the major components of bicycles in detail, from the drive train and brakes to headsets and bottom brackets. These workshops offer a complete curriculum for any cyclist who wants to be more hands on with their bicycle and are designed to be taken either individually or as a complete series. Class meets Wednesdays at 5:00pm in the WSU-Fix It Bike Shop located in the ORC across from the Student Recreation Center. This registers you for all 5 weeks.
