UREC for All: Our Commitment

We commit to empowering our students and community members to succeed through equitable support and engaging programming. We foster an inclusive climate that enables all to thrive.

We welcome everyone to participate in our group fitness classes. Our program provides diverse opportunities to the WSU community through over 180 classes per week in 45 unique formats. We train our instructors to ensure equitable, positive experiences that fit various exercise needs and incorporate all fitness levels and experiences.

Accessibility: University Recreation values providing programs and activities that are accessible. We are proud to provide equipment and programming that creates an inclusive environment and makes every reasonable effort to be accessible to everyone.  Reasonable accommodations are available with adequate prior notification. Contact Joanne Greene at 335-9669 for more information. 

UREC fitness classes are supported by the WSU Services & Activities Fee.

Fall 2020 Session 2: Registration Now Open!

All classes will run as scheduled on Veterans Day, November 11, but there will be no classes during Thanksgiving Break from November 23-29. Registration is required; schedule subject to change.

Registration for in-person classes is open until October 30 here
. Class times and capacity reflect physical distancing guidelines. We are unable to accept punch passes at this time. Schedule and registration for Session 3 (November 30-December 13) will become available on November 9.

Registration for Session 2 & 3 online classes will be open until December 13 here. Zoom links will be emailed directly upon registration. Registration for online classes for Session 2 (October 19-November 22) and Session 3 (November 30-December 13) will be combined: If you register for online classes for Session 2, you do not need to register again for Session 3.

A few online classes will only run for Session 2 (indicated at registration). Registration for in-person classes will remain separate and required for Session 3.

FREE FriYay Fitness Classes

Join us every Friday, starting August 28, for a variety of fun fitness classes! We have FREE online and in-person options at the Student Recreation Center. Non-members will be able to join online classes but will need to purchase a membership to access the facility for in-person classes. Registration is required; no drop-ins currently permitted. The Zoom links for online classes will be emailed upon registration.
